Jennifer Makunde

Managing Director

Jennifer Makunde has accounting qualifications including a Master of Professional Accounting from the University of Canberra and a member of CPA Australia. Before commencing her accounting career, Jennifer was a qualified radiation therapist and worked in the health sector treating and assisting cancer patients. Jennifer continues to have interests in public health research topics.  Jennifer is keen to assists disadvantaged Zimbabweans with various projects to improve their general wellbeing.

James Makunde

Managing Director

Gresham Makunde was born in Zimbabwe where he completed his high school education. He is now based in Canberra, Australia. Gresham has legal qualifications including a Master of Laws in Government and Regulation from the Australian National University in Canberra. Gresham has worked in the Australian Public Service for 15 years and acquired skills in programme management, contract management, progressing legal casework matters and managing Government funding grants to local communities in Australia. Gresham is keen to assist local communities in Zimbabwe setting up sustainable projects in the areas of education, health and infrastructure.

Leah Ncube

Board Member

Leah Ncube completed her undergraduate Law degree in 2000 and worked in Zimbabwe as a Legal Practitioner, Notary Public and Conveyancer prior to moving to the United Kingdom. Following postgraduate training in Social Work, Leah has gained substantial experience in Adult Social Care and the protection of human rights through the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards in England. She currently works in a senior Social Work role and is a member of the British Association of Social Workers. Leah is passionate about research activities at the interface between Social Work and Law. She advocates for change to promote positive outcomes within marginalised communities. Any spare time is spent on horticulture, travelling and photography.

Vusumuzi Ncube

Board Member and Global Health Adviser

Vusa Ncube Originally trained as a Biomedical Scientist, Vusa has in the last 23 years gained significant experience in a range of public health delivery roles in Zimbabwe, Botswana and the United Kingdom. He is currently a Doctoral Researcher with the University of Sussex, investigating the implementation mechanisms underpinning the uptake of new health technologies in Sub-Saharan Africa. His research has been published in peer reviewed Journals, including Innovation & Development and the Annals of Clinical Biochemistry. Vusa is employed in a senior role within Pathology Service delivery in England where he is involved in service redesign projects and training. His passion lies in strengthening health systems through establishing strong collaborative links between developing and developed countries. Vusa enjoys playing tennis, teaching and farming.
